Who we are

This site is operated by Ten K Ventures, Inc. (“Ten,” “we,” “us,” “our”), a Delaware corporation with a business address at 1178 Broadway, 3rd Floor #1176, New York, NY 10001. Questions about this policy: [email protected].

This policy covers buildwithten.com and the pages and intake tools we publish under it. Any app we build and operate under a separate agreement has its own privacy policy governing data collected inside that app.

What we collect

  • What you send us directly. If you email us or use the Get started flow, we receive your email address, the stage you selected, and whatever you choose to describe about your project.
  • Project material you choose to share. A link to a live prototype, a public GitHub repository URL, or files you upload. We retrieve public repository contents only when you give us the URL.
  • Interview and report content. If you use the guided product interview or the code report, we keep the resulting summary alongside your email so we can follow up.
  • Server and network logs. Our hosting provider records standard request data: IP address, user agent, timestamp, page requested, and response status. We use this for security and diagnostics, not to profile visitors.
  • Cookies. This site does not set tracking or analytics cookies. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies, for example to mitigate abuse.

We do not run third-party analytics, advertising pixels, or session-replay tools on this site. Please do not send us credentials, secrets, or personal information about other people.

How AI processing works here

The guided interview and the code report send your submitted content to a third-party AI model (Anthropic’s Claude) through our own gateway, under a commercial agreement that does not permit your content to be used to train their models. For the code report, we keep the generated summary and your email — we do not retain the source code itself. Automated output is generated by software and is provided for discussion, not as a professional or security assessment.

Why we collect it

  • To reply to you and evaluate a possible engagement.
  • To generate the interview brief or code report you asked for.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the website.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Who processes it for us

We share information only with service providers who help us operate the site, and only as needed:

  • Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, security, and storage of submitted material.
  • Anthropic — AI processing of interview and code-report content, as described above.
  • Resend — delivery of transactional email, such as your report or auto-reply.
  • Google Workspace — the mailboxes we use to receive and answer your messages.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our agreements, or to protect rights, safety, and property.

How long we keep it

Server logs: typically up to 30 days, unless retained longer for a security investigation. Uploaded files: retained while we are in conversation with you and deleted on request. Lead records and email correspondence: as long as needed for the conversation and reasonable follow-up, then archived or deleted on a rolling basis. You can ask us to delete any of it at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict our use of personal information about you, to object to certain uses, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. California, Colorado, Virginia, and other U.S. state residents have specific rights under their state privacy laws. EU/UK residents have rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR.

To exercise any right, email [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

International users

We are based in the United States. If you access the site from outside the U.S., information we collect may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the U.S. and other countries where our service providers operate.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be highlighted on this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
